31 Day Challenge 2015: Water Spotted

My oh my, boy oh boy do I love a water spotted mani!! Most pleased to see this prompt in the list of many this month... I don't know about you but once Christmas is out of the way the next 'big' annual item I start thinking about is the summer holiday! The knowledge of that two weeks chilling out in the sunshine is sometimes just enough to get you through the uglier days in life haha... This mani in my mind is a warm, deep blue ocean foaming at the shoreline.

This was so easy to do starting with two quick coats of Lagoon for the base. I then placed two drops of white on to the surface of some water in my lil pot and then spattered in some acetone to create the spots because my usual alcohol/water mix just wasn't working! I dipped the fingers one by one, cleaned up and topcoated.

My only wish about this mani is that more of the stunning PP was shining through, but it really does remind me of the water lapping at my feet on the beach! Bring me sunshiiiiine!!!

...Now I'm looking over it again, it could equally represent melting snow or something - brrr, banish cold thoughts!
