For me there is only really 2 left to do on my 'never tried list'... Water Marble which I have tried twice, failed at and avoided lol; and then Sugar Spun which I was a little scared of haha. I was a bit pushed for time, so as much as I wanted to do the former of the two, I went with the latter. Started with a basecoat and then one thick coat of the blue. I then placed a large blob of the purple on my glass dish; I blew on it whilst mixing around with the pointed end of a cuticle stick until it became tacky. I then lifted strings of the tacky polish with the stick and pulled over the surface of the nail time and again until the desired effect was reached. I cleaned up and photographed that look, very happy. I then wanted more!!! So decided to add a shocking pink and repeated the whole process! Now super, super happy :) 2 for the price of 1 folks! Lol!
For this look I used:
- Barry M - 3 in 1 Clear Hardener, Basecoat & Topcoat
- Barry M - Blueberry Icecream
- Barry M - Vivid Purple
- W7 - Neon Pink
- Cuticle Stick

I can't believe this is the first time you've done this - it's so amazing! I love the color combo. The pink at the end definitely added something! :)
ReplyDeleteWow! Thanks Allie - lovely of you to say! It truely was my first ever attempt! Although I got the odd blob or so, I think they added to it too lol, I was chuffed :)
Deletei just don't get how this is so easy for everyone else. lol i love this and the colors look great together.
ReplyDeleteThank you Danielle :) I wouldn't say easy lol it took a lot of patience and eventually you get a lil thang going... over an hour spent I think!
DeleteLove this mani !! I haven't tried Sugar Spun yet but thinking I should soon :)
ReplyDeleteThanks Vicky, defo give it a go, it's fairly easy and the texture is awesome! :)

Thanks, have a go! Definitely an easier technique than others out there :)
DeleteGood call adding the pink--the color combo is awesome and so striking! These are great!
ReplyDeleteIt looks great! So I guess you were able to topcoat and wear this out just fine? I've always been worried about it because it looks nice but I feel like topcoat would smudge it and it would take FOREVER to dry!
ReplyDeleteThanks! No topcoat! It ruins the texture and the design holds up to a beating really well as is. By the time you finish one nail, the last one is dry! Because the polish is almost dry when you apply it (really tacky) and it's applied in such thin strands, it dries rock hard in minutes :D Have a go!!
