31 Day Challenge: Favourite Colour Family

I love all the colours of the rainbow so it was difficult to choose just one colour family! I decided that blue is my favourite though. It's the colour of my eyes and I think there is a blue to suit all moods. I chose to do a simple but effective dotted mosaic design that I've seen in various colour combos on a few blogs and photostreams over the last few months. It used four shades or colours that I could easily adapt for my favourite blues :) I chose a light-ish shade for the base, then a lighter shade and two darker shades to add the dots. Dotted on lightest, then darker, lightest then darkest in succession; finished off with a thick topcoat. Didn't take as long as I thought it would and I was quite pleased with the finish of my first attempt! I love blue!
