Pink Sapphires

Needed a bit of sparkle today to celebrate my other half returning from China so thought I'd try out the Pink Sapphire Glitter I got from Barry M last week... Started with my basecoat and then one thick coat of the purple, followed by two coats of the glitter :) The glitter itself is really pretty but there's not quite enough of it unlike the Rose Quartz Glitter which was bursting with sparkles! Just like the Rose Quartz it was smooth enough to not need a clear topcoat... Anyhoooo I think it's pretties!!!

For this look I used:

  • Barry M - 3 in 1 Clear Hardener, Basecoat & Topcoat
  • Barry M - Bright Purple
  • Barry M - Pink Sapphire Glitter

Golden Pastels

Here is a cute mani I did after seeing a similar idea online... Can't remember where?!?! lol... Did a basecoat and then chose five pastel shades and did one coat of each on each nail, once dry I taped them off diagonally and did a coat of the Gold; took the tape off straight away and once touch dry did a topcoat... Was a quick look to do and I love, love, love them :)

Hand Painted Leopards

This is a look from my archive... One of my favourites and will have to do again with a stamp to see how perfect it can be :) I started with a hardener/basecoat before adding one thick coat of White. I then chose a medium/large dotting tool and got my little glass palette to hand... First dotting the Black using semicircles, circles and spots to build up the random leopard pattern; once dry I used each of the Colours to add the accent dots in the centre of the 'spots' and finished with a topcoat. LOVE IT :) hope you ladies like too!

Pink Champagne

I bought a lovely looking glitter polish from the Barry M collection the other day and was eager to try it out so bring on the pink! Chose a nice baby pink for the basecolour and did one thick coat of this over my basecoat/hardener. I followed this with just one coat of the Rose Quartz Glitter polish and think the result is soooo pretty, covers really well and with two coats would be Uber sparkly! It's as good if not slightly better than my Models Own polishes... Didn't even bother with a topcoat as the result was so smooth! Reminds me of pink champagne!

Gold Florals

I fancied another pretty wintery design today and plumped for a pale blue and gold floral design using my stamps :) Did a basecoat followed by two thin coats of the pale blue, then stamped using the gold and two different complimenting images from my cheeky plates; I then added a cute rhinestone on the ring finger. I love the results! Hope you enjoy too!

Black Discoball

This is an older look from my Slideshow as I just love my winter nails so they are staying put another day... Started with a basecoat, then two thin coats of the Black followed by adding the silver tip with a small square brush. Finished up with just one coat of the Discoball and a topcoat to seal the look. This one got a lot of compliments and I really liked it too :) Next time I would do the glitter before the Silver tip.

Winters Day Stamp

Wanted to do a pretty wintery design to reflect the sunny, winters day it was today. Chose a Manicure White and another of the Models Own polishes I bought recently - Mystic Mauve... It's sooo lovely I'm tempted to use it again for the next design i do, very pleased with this purchase! Did one coat of each on the chosen nails after applying a basecoat.  Once dry I used the opposing colour to stamp with choosing a snowflake (ish) pattern from my plates. Really happy with this one! Enjoy!

Love Hearts Stamp

Trimmed and filed my nails today and just wanted a quick job so went to the stamps! Bought a few new Models Own polishes the other day and thought I'd give one a bash, I went for the Pink Fever! So after a basecoat went two thin coats of the pink which has a very slight pearlescent type finish to it, quite nice but don't think I'd wear it on its own... Then chose a silver to stamp with using a pretty hearts motif from my cheeky collection finished off with a topcaot... It turned out ok, not my favourite...

1/2 Polka Dots

Not ready to remove my pretty sparkles yet so am posting a look I did previously and have on my slideshow... 1/2 polka dots with a lil added sparkle! For this I, as always, started with the 3 in 1 clear, then tore off pieces of masking tape and applied to my nails diagonally... Once in place I did just one coat of the Berry IceCream, it's a lush shade! Once dry I removed the tape and used a smallish dotting tool and the Nail Tip White to add the dots and finished off with the Silver Stripe and Sparkle and a final coat of 3 in 1...

For this look I used
  • Barry M - 3 in 1 Clear Hardener, Basecoat & Topcoat
  • Barry M - Berry I/C
  • Boots Natural Collection - Nail Tip White
  • Andrea Fulerton - Silver Stripe and Sparkle
  • Small Dotting Tool
  • Masking Tape

Precious Stones

I gravitated to the Rimmel Stand whilst in Tesco yesterday and then I treated myself to the Rimmel Prescious Stones Diamond Dust... Oops! So today I wanted to give it a looksee; quick basecoat and then just one coat of the Grey, I really love this color and it almost has the same hi shine finish of one of the Gellys. On top of that went two coats of the Diamond Dust followed by a final coat of the 3 in 1 and I love love love the result... It's like stardust!

Cherry Blossoms

My other half jetted off to China today so I wanted to do a chinese inspired cherry blossom look... I did a basecoat of the 3 in 1, then just 1 coat of the Blueberry - it covered really well as do all the Barry M polishes I've tried. After this was dry I used the striper brush and the Black to paint on the branches, followed by dotting on the Bright Pink for the blossoms with the larger end of the tool and the Shocking Pink for the blossom centres with the smaller end.... I didn't get it exactly as I wanted (the blooms need to go XL) but I still liked the look enough to share it!

Newspaper Nails

I did a base coat of the 3 in 1 followed by 2 thin coats of the Pink. Once dry I used the tweezers to quickly dip my squares of newspaper into the alcohol, immediately placing them square on my nail and then pressing down hard being careful not to smudge them. Finally, I sealed the look in with a coat of 3 in 1. Easy! I recommend doing this over the lighter shades of polish to get the best effect.

Uber Glitter!

I used just one coat of the Blackberry, it covered really well and really is Hi Shine! Keeps that wet polish glossiness which I love! Layered on top of that were two coats of the Ibiza Mix, really like the large pieces in this - dislike the glue smell! It's really strong!!! To finish off I used the Discoball instead of a Clear Topcoat to add some mini glitter to the look as well as sealing it all in. In fairness, no photo's did the finished look justice! It's yummy...

For this look I used:
  • Barry M - Gelly Hi Shine Blackberry
  • Models Own - Hed Kandi Ibiza Mix
  • Rimmel - Lasting Finish Discoball
